GCU’s Sports Chaplain serves on campus as a pastoral support and resource to the Athletics community, serving to help connect them to spiritual formation and service opportunities on campus, in their community, and within their teams.
The Chaplain’s office is located centrally on the main campus in building 26 for student athletes, staff and ministry partners who wish to connect.
Cory has dedicated over a decade to pastoral ministry, serving with passion and commitment since joining Grand Canyon University in 2013, focusing on Athletics since 2018. His work is deeply rooted in the spiritual formation of individuals and communities, fostering growth and understanding in faith. Beyond his professional life, Cory cherishes time with his wife Dianne, and his four children; Selah, Shiloh, Shepherd and Sage. His approach to ministry is holistic, emphasizing the importance of a balanced and fulfilling life, both spiritually and personally. Through his dedication and compassionate leadership, Cory continues to inspire and guide those around him on their spiritual journeys.
